About Flint Hills Solutions

 

Flint Hills Solutions, LLC was established in 2005 for the purpose of providing highly integrated solutions for emerging Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) market. FHS offers a wide range of products and services including mini electric/gas helicopter and fixed wing Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) solutions with integrated camera, video, infrared payloads. In 2008, FHS began offering turnkey UAS solutions to emergency responders and the National Guard.

Expanding into the larger payload services market, FHS introduced a miniaturization Surface Mount Technology (SMT) rapid prototyping center in early 2009. This center has the capability to research, design and prototype next generation miniaturized SMT system-in-packages (SiPs) for the UAS payload market.

The FHS Team is composed of a group of highly motivated engineers, certified pilots and maintenance technicians with over 150 years of combined experience in the UAS field. Our main facility is located about 10 miles east of Wichita, KS in rural Butler County.

1. Flint Hills Solutions small UAVs are low cost, safe, rapidly deployable and have an Federal Aviation Administration Certificate of Authorization (COA) to fly in the National Air Space. 
2. All of our UAVs weigh less than 33 pounds and are considered the safest and most reliable in the industry as attested by the FAA Certificate.
3. Our Unmanned Air Vehicle helicopters weigh 10 to 20 lbs and can covertly hover over a high value special point of interest without detection for up to 2 hours. 
4. Our Unmanned Fixed Wing Aerosonde has the capability to provide wide area aerial surveillance for up to 8 hours at a time for up to 50 square miles per UAV system.
5.  Equipped with Electro Optical (EO) and Thermal Imaging Infrared (IR) Cameras, our UAVs are enabled with ground based remote camera contro.l This provides live, geo referenced and recorded video within 5 miles of the site and anywhere in the world if an internet connection is available.
